Chris Marshall is a distinguished public speaker, writer, and mentor. He is the founder of Sans Bar, the first non-alcoholic bar in North America, established in 2017.
Chris has had a dedicated career in the mental health space, working as a licensed chemical dependency counselor and alcohol and drug counselor for eight years in Austin, Texas.
Co-founded the SHIFT Makers program in collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin. Continues to serve as an advisor, teaching basic bartending skills and mentoring students to become exemplary service providers in Austin.
Chris founded this 10-week course, which has helped launch over 60 non-alcoholic pop-ups, bars, and bottle shops around the world.

Chris is currently accepting consulting gigs and public speaking engagements. He is working on an upcoming book titled A Better Brother, which will focus on his journey and insights into promoting mental wellness and sobriety for Black men.
Chris champions the belief that everyone deserves equal access to enriching social experiences, irrespective of alcohol consumption. He continues to inspire and educate through his initiatives, helping to transform social spaces into inclusive environments for all.
